Brandon Mickelson

Brandon grew up on a dairy farm in Southeastern Idaho. After high school, he learned Spanish while he was living in Chile for two years. He earnedhis undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from Brigham Young University-Idaho in July of 2019. During college, he earned his Certified Nurse Assistant license and worked at the local hospital near his hometown. After college he worked for two of Salt Lake’s renowned dermatologists as a medical assistant for almost three years until he applied and was accepted into Physician Assistant (PA) school. Shortly before leaving for South University in Richmond, Virginia, he married the love of his life, and they embarked on the PA school adventure together.

While attending PA school, Brandon completed an elective rotation in both dermatology and plastic surgery. He was also involved in the admissions process as a student ambassador and a member of the PA program interview committee. Brandon graduated from South University, Richmond, in March of2024, with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. He is a member of both the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants and American Academy of Physician Associates

Brandon and his wife are excited be living back in Utah. He cherishes times pent with his wife and his family. He enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and target shooting. Brandon also enjoys baking and playing board games. He is elated to pair his experience in dermatology with his desire to help people feel comfortable in their own skin. He is accepting new patients.
